I recently retired from a 40 year position as Professor of English, first at California State Univ. at Northridge and then at California State Univ. at Dominguez Hills. I first learned about FJRP from Rabbi Haim Beliak who has been leading our weekly Mifgash/Torah Commentators’ Study for many years. I continued to learn more about this organization through the two trips to Poland he led that I joined. On both trips I came to better understand the work of FJRP as we toured the Jewish sites in Poland, past and present, and met many of the people who have contributed to the work of welcoming Polish individuals who have wanted to more actively claim and deepen their relationship to Judaism.
